Tree data
Tree databases and imported media are stored in the operating system’s app data folder on your computer. You can create a local ZIP backup and restore it as a separate tree. Fore Loom does not provide a cloud account or automatic tree sync.
Research and local AI
Tree editing and built-in issue checks work without Ollama. Optional AI assistance sends selected context to an Ollama service running on your computer. When you start an outside research search, your entered query is sent to the selected provider. Provider access and retention practices are governed by that provider.
Analytics
Optional product analytics in the desktop app is off by default. The app’s documented event contract excludes family-record content. This marketing site has no analytics service.
Formal policy
Pending owner input: A final privacy policy, legal operator name, and public privacy contact will be added before a formal public launch.
